Ground Transportation Agreement Terms and Conditions

Pappy Paws Pet Transport Terms & Conditions & Client Service Agreement 

 

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Pappy Paws Pet Transport. By requesting, booking, or using any services offered by Pappy Paws Pet Transport, the client (“Owner”) agrees to the terms outlined below.

1. Services Provided

Pappy Paws Pet Transport provides professional pet transportation and pet handling services including but not limited to:

• Local pet transportation
• Long-distance ground transport
• Flight nanny transport services
• Airport pickup and delivery
• Wedding and event pet handling
• Engagement and family photo session pet handling
• Pet pickup and drop-off services

 

Services may include transportation, supervision, on-site handling, comfort care, and coordination with event vendors such as photographers, planners, or venues.

Pappy Paws Pet Transport reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe for the pet, the transporter, or the public.

2. Pet Health Requirements

The Owner confirms that their pet:

• Is in good health and fit for travel
• Is free of contagious illnesses
• Has current vaccinations where required
• Meets airline or interstate travel health requirements when applicable

 

For flight nanny or interstate travel, the Owner may be required to provide:

• A current health certificate
• Vaccination records
• Airline-approved carrier if applicable

 

Pappy Paws Pet Transport reserves the right to refuse service if a pet appears ill, injured, or medically unstable.

 

3. Pet Behavior Requirements

For the safety of all parties involved, pets must:

• Be friendly with strangers
• Be manageable in public environments
• Not have a known history of aggressive behavior

 

Owners must disclose any behavioral concerns including:

• anxiety
• fearfulness
• aggression
• reactivity
• escape tendencies

 

If a pet displays unsafe or aggressive behavior during service, Pappy Paws Pet Transport reserves the right to discontinue services for safety reasons.

 

For weddings or events, participation in ceremonies or photo sessions is dependent on the pet’s comfort and behavior on the day of the event.

 

4. Owner Responsibilities

The Owner agrees to provide accurate information regarding their pet including:

• medical conditions
• medications
• behavioral concerns
• feeding instructions

 

The Owner must ensure the pet has:

• identification (collar tag or microchip recommended)
• appropriate equipment if requested
• any medications needed during service

 

Failure to disclose medical or behavioral issues may result in service termination without refund.

 

5. Transportation Conditions

Pappy Paws Pet Transport prioritizes the safety, comfort, and well-being of the pet during all transport services.

Transportation routes, rest stops, and travel schedules are determined at the discretion of Pappy Paws Pet Transport based on safety and travel regulations.

 

Travel may be affected by:

• weather conditions
• airline delays or cancellations
• traffic conditions
• airport policies
• unforeseen logistical issues

 

Every effort will be made to keep the Owner informed of travel updates.

 

6. Local & Ground Transport

 

Ground transportation services may include local or long-distance travel.

Travel within a designated service radius may be included in base pricing. Additional mileage may be charged at a per-mile rate as outlined in service descriptions.

 

Rest breaks will be provided as needed to ensure the comfort and well-being of the pet.

 

7. Flight Nanny Services

 

Flight nanny services involve a professional handler accompanying the pet in the cabin of a commercial flight.

 

Airline policies, flight schedules, and airport procedures are outside the control of Pappy Paws Pet Transport.

 

Owners are responsible for:

• providing accurate travel documentation
• providing airline-approved carriers when required
• complying with airline regulations

 

Flight delays or schedule changes may occur due to airline operations.

 

8. Wedding & Event Pet Services

Wedding and event services may include:

• transportation to and from the venue
• on-site supervision and handling
• coordination with photographers or planners
• assistance with ceremony or photos

 

Service time begins at the scheduled arrival time and includes any waiting periods between event activities.

A designated contact person must be available during the event if the Owner is unavailable.

Participation in ceremonies or photos cannot be guaranteed and depends on the pet’s behavior and comfort level.

 

9. Payments & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking date.

Remaining balances must be paid prior to the start of services unless otherwise agreed.

Additional charges may apply for:

• additional pets
• extended service time
• long-distance travel
• additional requested services

 

10. Additional Time

Event timelines and travel conditions may change. Additional time beyond the scheduled service window may be billed at the hourly rate outlined in the service agreement.

11. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to service may be subject to additional cancellation fees.

Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.

12. Emergency Veterinary Care

In the event of a medical emergency involving a pet during service, Pappy Paws Pet Transport may seek veterinary care if the Owner cannot be reached.

All veterinary costs incurred are the responsibility of the Owner.

 

13. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure the safety and well-being of pets in our care, Pappy Paws Pet Transport cannot guarantee against injury, illness, escape, or other unforeseen incidents.

Pappy Paws Pet Transport shall not be held responsible for:

• pre-existing medical conditions
• injuries resulting from undisclosed behavioral issues
• illness unrelated to transportation services
• incidents outside reasonable control

 

The Owner agrees to release and hold harmless Pappy Paws Pet Transport from liability related to services performed in good faith.

13. Force Majeure

Pappy Paws Pet Transport shall not be held liable for delays or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:

• severe weather
• airline cancellations
• traffic accidents
• natural disasters
• government restrictions
• mechanical issues

 

14. Media & Marketing

Photos or videos of pets during transport or events may be used for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes unless the Owner requests otherwise in writing.

15. Owner Authorization for Handling & Restraint

 

The Owner authorizes Pappy Paws Pet Transport to safely handle, leash, restrain, and transport the pet as necessary during the course of services.

 

This may include:

• securing the pet in a carrier or crate

• attaching leash or safety restraints
• temporarily transferring control of the pet to airline staff or event staff when required
• handling the pet during loading, unloading, or public environments

 

All handling is performed with the pet’s safety and comfort as the priority.

 

16. Escape & Lost Pet Policy

While every reasonable precaution is taken to prevent escape, pets are animals and unpredictable situations may occur.

In the event that a pet escapes or becomes lost during service, Pappy Paws Pet Transport will make every reasonable effort to safely recover the pet, including:

• searching the immediate area
• notifying the owner immediately
• contacting local animal control or authorities if necessary

 

The Owner acknowledges that animals may behave unpredictably and agrees that Pappy Paws Pet Transport cannot guarantee against escape in situations outside reasonable control.

 

17. Event & Venue Liability

For wedding and event services, Pappy Paws Pet Transport provides pet supervision and handling only.

Pappy Paws Pet Transport is not responsible for:

• venue restrictions involving animals
• disruptions to event timelines caused by venue staff or planners
• pet behavior that interferes with ceremonies, guests, or event activities

 

Final decisions regarding pet participation in ceremony or photos will always prioritize the pet’s safety and well-being.

 

18.  Airline & Travel Policy Changes

Airlines may change policies, flight schedules, or pet travel requirements without notice.

Pappy Paws Pet Transport is not responsible for:

• airline policy changes
• airline cancellations or delays
• denied boarding due to airline regulations
• airport or TSA procedures

 

If travel changes occur, Pappy Paws Pet Transport will work with the Owner to coordinate the safest alternative arrangements when possible.

 

19. Agreement

By booking or using services provided by Pappy Paws Pet Transport, the Owner confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
